Bonnie Beach Resort has a season long catch and release fishing contest every year. There is a Walleye, Crappie, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, and Northern division. We have been fortunate to see a 30 inch Walleye and a 21 inch Bass swim back to their habitat. Prizes are awarded each year.

BBR Catch and Release Contest

To Enter:

1. Take pictures of the total length of the fish against a Bump Board with the length clearly visible. Fish mouths must be closed and nose at end of bump board.
2. Photo of angler holding the fish.
3. Video recording of fish being released.
4. Email photos and video to info@bonniebeachresort.com

Fish can still be brought into resort for measure and release during lodge hours.

Bump boards are available at the lodge.

This contest is only available to Bonnie Beach Resort registered guests.

Categories include:

Walleye (23″ min.)

Northern Pike (30″ min.)

Smallmouth Bass (20” min.)

14”-20” must be immediately released

Largemouth Bass (18″ min.)

Crappie (12″ min.)

Prizes will go out at the end of the year for the biggest fish in each category.
