About Us
Bonnie Beach Resort is located on Clitherall Lake in Otter Tail County. Otter Tail County is located in West Central Minnesota and is known for its fantastic water resources. There are 1049 platted lakes within the County boundaries. Mixed among the lakes are hardwood forests and prairie. The two major industries in Otter Tail County are agriculture and tourism.
Bonnie Beach Resort is located on the North shore of Clitherall Lake with 600 feet of sandy, weed free shoreline. The 8 acres are wooded with Gizzard Creek flowing behind the property. The grounds have a walking trail and playground along with a fishing dock in the creek. Along the 600 feet of shoreline you can use the resorts fun bugs, pedal boats, swim raft, canoe, and our boat ramp. Guests can rent pontoons, boats, motors, and boat lifts.
Clitherall Lake has 2493 surface acres of water. The unique shape of the lake gives it 14.2 miles of shoreline. The maximum depth is 70 feet with a median depth of 28 feet. Water clarity is 13.12 feet by the secchi disk method. The state average is 9.68 feet. We often hear, "I can't believe how clear the water is". Clitherall Lake is a fantastic multi use lake. Because of its size and development you have room to do everything a person wants on a lake. The water clarity makes you want to spend as much time in the water as you possibly can. Whether it's tubing, knee boarding, skiing, cruising, sailing, swimming, or just floating. And don't forget the fishing.
